Attention homeowners: Did you know you are responsible for the water and sewer service pipes on your property that connect your home to Temagami’s water and sewer systems?
Many homeowners don’t realize they are responsible for the maintenance of these service lines. Service line failures can be costly and while not typically covered by basic homeowners’ insurance, residents are encouraged to check with their current provider to find out what their coverage is in this area.
The Municipality of Temagami has also partnered with Service Line Warranties of Canada to provide completely optional warranty and repair service plans to homeowners to help protect against the financial shock of an unexpected repair.
In the coming days, residents will receive a letter in the mail from Service Line Warranties of Canada with information about these optional plans.
